History & Heritage Days at Everglades Seafood Festival
Every year at the Annual Everglades Seafood Festival, a variety of our partner non-profit organizations gather in tents along the boulevard in front of Museum of the Everglades to share information about our area’s ecosystem and the opportunities to experience it with thousands of visitors. We will be featuring our own pop-up history exhibits in tents and other special attractions including classic swamp buggies and the Conservancy of Southwest Florida’s Learning Adventures Bus in our parking lot. Members of the Miccosukee Tribe of Florida Indians will also be onsite doing traditional cooking and crafting demonstrations. The museum will be open to the public with our new temporary exhibit, "Randy Wayne White’s Everglades," in the front gallery and the permanent exhibits including the 1929 Harley-Davidson motorcycle in the back.
