Also, many of the top courses that are "for members only" in the winter will welcome non-members between May and December. Greens fees are also greatly reduced in the summer months.
Newly Refurbished Course
The Rookery at Marco is a newly renovated 18-hole championship golf course, masterfully designed by famed golf course architect Robert Cupp, Jr. The course is owned by Marco Island Marriott Resort, Golf Club & Spa, but is open to members of the public and guests of other area resorts. As member of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program, the course co-exists with its surroundings, preserving the ecological balance by providing shallow littoral zones where birds can thrive, while still delivering a complex blend of brute force and intricate subtlety for avid golfers.

The Rookery at Marco is also home to the Faldo Golf School by Marriott and its 14-acre practice facility.
