Romantic Getaways in Naples, Marco Island & the Everglades

The Naples area is an ideal destination for weddings, honeymoons and getaways for two.
Naples, Marco Island and the Everglades are a hotspot for romance. On Florida’s Paradise Coast, couples can relax and enjoy one another during a spa getaway at a Naples resort, or get adventurous with sightseeing tours in Everglades City.
Sightseeing for Two
There’s plenty to see on the Paradise Coast from downtown Naples to the Everglades. Experience a sensory overload at the Naples Botanical Garden where you can tour the butterfly pavilion and explore the cultivated gardens of Asia, Florida, Brazil and the Caribbean and a calmingly reflective Water Garden. Or, in Everglades City, rent bikes and binoculars from the Ivey House Inn, where Everglades Rentals & Eco Adventures directs you to the best routes through the quaint Old Florida town. For an on-the-water option, take a guided WaveRunner tour through the Ten Thousand Islands with Marco Island Ski & Watersports and gain a new perspective on the coast.
Get out on the town with a Segway tour of downtown Naples. The tours are interesting, and it's fun and easy to navigate the Segways. lt's also a good way to get your bearings in the downtown Naples area and check out places you might want to come back to. If you'd rather forgo the tour, you can rent a Segway from Extreme Family Fun Spot.
In the evening, enjoy the sunset aboard a boat cruise. Naples Princess Cruises, Marco Island Princess or the Pure Florida, Double Sunshine open-air double decker boat set sail daily for the ultimate sun-down experience over the Gulf of America.
Beaches: Resorty to Au Naturel

The pristine beaches of Naples and Marco Island are perfect for lazy days in the sun. Choose a luxe resort with a nearby public beach like Vanderbilt Beach Resort or The Ritz-Carlton, Naples for convenience and easy access to surrounding restaurants and shops.
For a more secluded and natural environment, Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park is a north Naples beach site on the Great Florida Birding Trail. Just north of Delnor, Barefoot Beach Preserve County Park is an especially private spot known for its coastal flora and fauna.
If you’re on the hunt for seashells that haven’t already been picked through, take a shelling cruise to a nearby uninhabited island to look for shells and enjoy quiet beach time. Sweet Liberty, Marco Island Ski & Watersports and Marco Island Boat Tours all offer shelling.
Luxe Resorts & Spas
Sightseeing, dining and golfing take energy, so when it's time to relax, seek out the area’s resort spas. At the Naples Grande Beach Resort, enjoy an 80-minute Couples Massage Ritual where you’ll both receive a Swedish massage followed by a 25-minute Fijian Scalp Massage. For the remainder of your time at the spa, you’ll lounge with complimentary champagne in the Couples Villa fixed with a private couples shower and soaking tub, sundeck with luxury chaises and comfortable seating area.

Fine Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

The area's romantic fine dining options often feature sunset views. In Naples, try Baleen at LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort. On Marco Island, visit Sale e Pepe at the Marco Beach Ocean Resort, the Deck at 560 at Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort or Quinn's on the Beach at the JW Marriot Marco Island. Inland, explore the many fine dining and casual restaurants in the area, many of which are locally owned and unique to Naples, Marco Island and Everglades City.
For all things elegant and refined, head to Third Street South and the Avenues Shopping District. This busy entertainment district offers great dining, from The Continental to Sea Salt and Campiello. Live music and performers liven up the downtown area on many Thursday evenings, and the bustling shops sell everything from fine art and interior design items to resort wear.
Nearby Naples' main downtown street, Fifth Avenue South, bustles with more than 30 restaurants, most with outdoor cafe seating as an option. Be sure to call ahead for a reservation to savor the rustic Italian cuisine at popular Osteria Tulia. Fall in step with singers, dancers, magicians and shoppers alike during Evening on Fifth with free entertainment the second Thursday of the month between November and April.
You’ll find more high-end boutiques and designers at the nearby Waterside Shops. Take in the views of stunning fountains and pools along the mall's walkways while shopping at Johnny Was, Louis Vuitton and Gucci. Refuel for even more shopping at True Food Kitchen, featuring food for well-being that tastes out of this world.
Unique Adventures for Couples
Take a day trip – just the two of you – to check out the Paradise Coast's off-the-beaten-path treasures. Stop at Clyde Butcher's Big Cypress Gallery to view spectacular black-and-white nature photography, then turn around and stop at Everglades City on your way back into town for lunch or dinner.
If pedaling is more your speed, take a tour of either downtown Naples or the Everglades with Naples Bicycle Tours.
